The 18th IAPBT kicked off in Hangzhou, China

The conference of the 18th International Association of Piano Tuners and Technicians (IAPBT) was staged from 7 to 9 October, 2013 at the First World Hotel in Hangzhou, China.

 

The event was approved by China National Light Industry Council and organized by China Musical Instrument Association (CMIA) and International Association of Piano Tuners and Technicians (IAPBT).

Over three hundred domestic delegates and one hundred international ones from North America, Europe, Japan, Korea, Australia, Russia, Chinese Taiwan and other countries and regions joined the event. The delegates represented domestic piano manufacturers, piano tuners and technicians, professional institutions and performing arts groups.

Along with grand opening of the global congress, executive member council and 22 professional lectures were also staged according to general practice of IAPBT.

Co-organized by Guangzhou Pearl River Piano Group and Piano Tuners Sub-committee of CMIA and Hangzhou Tianmu Music Co. Ltd., the event served as an excellent global platform of piano manufacturing, technicians and piano tuners to learn and communicate with each other.
